Man accused of touching people's buttocks; police investigating whether there are more victims

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - Did a man recently touch your buttocks then run off?

Shreveport police sex crimes investigators want to know.

It happened twice April 16 at separate locations in west Shreveport, authorities said.

Each victim told investigators a man accosted them, touched their buttocks without their consent then ran off.

Shreveport detectives have since identified a DeSoto Parish man as a suspect.

Terrance Maurice Winn, 23, of the 600 block of Atkins Lane in Frierson, is being held in the DeSoto Parish jail on unrelated charges.

DeSoto sheriff’s deputies booked him into the lockup May 14 on a charge of simple burglary. He also was charged with being a fugitive. His bond has been set at $1,000.

Authorities said Winn will be extradited to Caddo Parish to face charges related to the assaults, Shreveport authorities said.

Meantime, Shreveport’s sex crimes unit is exploring the possibility that there might be more victims of Winn’s alleged assaults.

Investigators are encouraging anyone who might have been assaulted to call them at (318) 673-6955.
