Sanctuary Glass Studio gives behind-the-scenes look into glass art on Mother’s Day

Sanctuary Glass Studio Mothers Day

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Sanctuary Glass Studio, which is based inside Red River Brewery, gave families a chance to learn first hand how to create beautiful stained-glass sculptures. Founders Eric Hess and Michelle Pennington gave live glass blowing demonstrations on Sunday.

Mothers were allowed to pick out their favorite artistic designs and to create their own unique glass artwork.

Sanctuary Glass has a mission to empower through its hands on teaching.

“It’s a great way for a child or an adult with a mother, to have an experience where they do a create your own sit at the bench, pull the glass and make a flower”, said Hess.

They offer glass blowing classes at the Sanctuary Arts School, located in Red River Brewery.
