SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The Louisiana State Fair Grounds were packed during the Shreveport Stuffed Shrimp Festival.
Families from throughout the ArkLaTex came out Sunday not only to eat shrimp but also to celebrate Mother’s Day.
“We came all the way from Monroe to have a good time this evening,” Jessica Dixon said. “It’s so nice to be out with my children enjoying the day.”
Along with the food, there were musical guests and people danced to some oldies.
The festival also helped raise money for kids to attend culinary school.
“We want to keep the vision of the founder Eddie Hughes,” Queen Greshun De Bouse said.
The Shreveport Stuffed Shrimp Festival continues until 11 p.m. Sunday.
