'The Divine 9 Youth Tour’ stops at Barksdale Air Force Base

BARKSDALE AFB, LA (KSLA) - Military and government civilian members of the Shreveport alumni chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha, Omega Psi Phi, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternities and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, gave 50 local middle and high school members of the Alpha Esquires and Kappa League a tour of Barksdale Air Force Base on Saturday, April 27th.

The ‘Divine 9 Youth Tour’ included an up close look at a B-52, K-9 demonstration and discussions on educational and career goal setting.

Known as the “Divine Nine,” these organizations include the sororities Alpha Kappa Alpha, Delta Sigma Theta, Zeta Phi Beta and Sigma Gamma Rho and the fraternities Alpha Phi Alpha, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Phi Beta Sigma and Iota Phi Theta.
