MANSFIELD, LA (KSLA) - Some people who work and live along Highway 84, in Mansfield, are dealing with major storm damage. Last night’s severe weather left a trail of downed power lines and destroyed several portable storage buildings.
“I lost eight storage buildings, which will cost me between $80,000 to $100,000,” said Southeast Sales Portable Buildings owner Alan Yarbrough. “I’m just glad no one was hurt.”
Several of Yarbrough’s buildings were either lifted off of the ground or left destroyed with pieces scattered.
According to Mansfield police, they received a call around 7:30 a.m. from Mansfield High School’s principal. She warned them that she saw a funnel cloud outside of the school.
Police say the school lost power but there was no damage.
The power has been restored and the school is back to normal activities.
