VIVIAN, LA (KSLA) -The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating the discovery of a man’s body and truck found in a bayou early Saturday morning.
A kayaker found the man’s body about a half-mile south of the Louisiana Highway 2 bridge.
More than 15 units were dispatched to the scene around 7:45 a.m. at Caddo Lake near Boyter Lane and Trees City Road.
Just after 2:30 p.m., workers recovered a blue Dodge 1500 pickup.
Evidence suggests that a vehicle had left LA 2 and struck the bridge over the bayou and several trees, sheriff’s Sgt. Pam Purgerson said.
The release of the man’s identity is being withheld pending confirmation by the Caddo coroner’s office.
This case is still under investigation.
