TYLER, TX (KLTV) - Tyler police say a victim in a pin-in wreck was resuscitated and has now been transported to a hospital.

About 2:48 p.m. Friday, Tyler Police Department officers responded to a pin-in crash on Highway 271, near the Loop 323 intersection by Matheson Propane.

Initially, police said one man involved in the crash was reported deceased. Following EMS response, police say that person was later revived and transported to a hospital.

Investigators believe driver inattention led to the wreck.

Northbound traffic on Highway 271 was temporarily shut down.

According to Tyler police’s online records, at about 2:48 p.m., they received a call reporting a wreck involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler near the intersection of Highway 271 and North Northeast Loop 323. It is reported as a pin-in crash and one vehicle is on fire.

Tyler police, fire and EMS responded to the scene.
