BARKSDALE AFB (KSLA) - The 307th Bomb Wing on Barksdale Air Force Base welcomed home more than 40 personnel of the 200 plus Airmen currently deployed.
Civil engineers, security forces and more reservists have been in various locations throughout the Area of Responsibility since deploying nearly 6 months ago.
“We are excited to have our Airmen home safe,” said Col. Robert VanHoy II, 307th Bomb Wing commander. “It makes us proud to think of the contributions made in the many locations they served while deployed.”
The Reserve 307th Bomb Wing is located at Barksdale AFB, Louisiana, and is the only Air Force unit currently operating both the B-52 Stratofortress and the B-1 Lancer simultaneously.
