NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 10-year-old boy was kidnapped outside his Algiers home Sunday afternoon (Jan. 13), according to New Orleans police and the boy’s mother.
Around 2:30 p.m., the boy told his mother he was going to take out the trash, which is located in front of his home in the 30 block of Pinewood Court. When he had not come back inside at 3 p.m., his mother said she looked throughout her home for the boy, but still could not find him. According to police, she then called her son’s cellphone, but did not get an answer.
A few minutes later, the child texted his mother and said he had been kidnapped. NOPD said his family repeatedly tried to contact the boy but have not heard from him since.
