2 pedestrians struck by vehicle in west Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Police are on the scene of a crash on Friday night that sent two people to the hospital.

Greenwood Road is shut down going west at Jewella Avenue, according to police on the scene. Police got the call just before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Jewella Avenue and Greenwood Road.

Two pedestrians, a male and a female were struck by a vehicle, according to Shreveport Police Sgt. Kevin Strickland.

Police say they couldn’t tell if the pedestrians stepped in front of the vehicle or not.

The pair were sent to a Shreveport hospital for possible life-threatening injuries.

Debris were found strewn all over the road, police are investigating to find out what happened. Witnesses are speaking to police.

No word on charges at this time.
