SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Overton Brooks VA Medical Center (OBVAMC) staff activated their Emergency Operations Center Tuesday afternoon, following a water main break at the facility.
Hospital officials say contractors broke a pipe that feeds water to the hospitals north wing during routine repairs.
We’re told the leak is isolated and maintenance teams are working to correct the leak and restore full water service to the north section of the hospital.
Officials say while the leak has affected some phone services, patient care is not affected at this time. The hospital remains open and fully functional.
