Pedestrian struck, killed on I-20 near Waskom; westbound traffic shut down


HARRISON COUNTY, TX (KSLA) - Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed on westbound Interstate 20 Friday morning near Waskom, Texas.

According to KLTV, the person was struck multiple times by vehicles, causing the shut down.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has diverted traffic at Mile Marker 627, a few miles west of Waskom, as the Waskom Fire Department responds to a crash.

Traffic is also being diverted at Mile Marker 628, near the Ireland Williams/Bellville Road exit.

There is no further information at this time.
