Texarkana man found dead in bayou

MILLER COUNTY, AR (KSLA) - Arkansas State Police are investigating the death of a Texarkana, TX man who was found inside of a submerged car in a Miller County, AR bayou on Monday.

Authorities say the victim, who name has not been released, was reported missing Sunday.

Family members were looking for the man Monday when they discovered tracks leading off Highway 82 into McKinney Bayou, 13 miles east of Texarkana.

One of the relatives followed the tracks and found a car in the water with the missing man inside.

Authorities removed the car and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing, no foul play is suspected at this time.
