Natchitoches Parish shooting leaves one man dead, another in serious condition

NATCHITOCHES, LA (KSLA) - A shooting early Wednesday morning, December 26, has left one man dead and another in serious condition.

Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office says the shooting took place at approximately 1:56 a.m. on the 100 block of Cherie Loop in Payne Sub-Division off of Louisiana Hwy 6 East in the Grand Ecore area.

When deputies arrived they found two men with multiple gunshot wounds, one dead and the other in critical condition, laying in the yard of the residence.

Michael R. Bucks, 22, was pronounced dead by Natchitoches Parish Assistant Deputy Coroner Steven Clanton.

The other victim, a 21-year-old Montgomery, LA man was transported to a local hospital then transferred to another trauma center due to the severity of his injuries.
