TEXARKANA, TX (KSLA) - An Ark-La-Tex agency with the mission of providing assistance to the homeless and those in need has started a program that allows its clients to give back to the community.

Mission Texarkana

“Mission Texarkana” is a non-profit group providing meals, food pantry items, and vocational training to the homeless and others in the Texarkana area. To help fulfill part of the mission the group has begun a coffee roasting program.

Clients of “Mission Texarkana” are roasting and selling four different blends of coffee beans from around the world. The project not only satisfies coffee enthusiasts but also provides the homeless with job training skills.

You can get the roasted coffee beans by visiting “Mission Texarkana” located at 620 West 4th Street in Texarkana, Texas. All proceeds go back into the program.
