Shooting reported; at least 1 person taken to a hospital

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police are investigating a report of a shooting.

One male, age unavailable, has been taken to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment of a gunshot wound to one of his ankles, police Cpl. Angie Willhite said.

Caddo 911 dispatch records show the shooting happened about 6:16 p.m. Sunday.

There are two crime scenes within 0.3 of a mile - one at East Jordan at Easy Street and another at East Stoner Avenue at Crofton Street, Willhite said.

All told, she said, investigators have collected 35 shell casings from multiple types of guns, including one long gun.

Police had 11 units at East Stoner Avenue at Crofton Street, which is a couple blocks west of Youree Drive.

Shreveport Fire Department had two units on a medical emergency at the same location.

This is a developing situation.
