Today's Forecast Image

Good morning! It's a mild and breezy start to our day! We're waking up to temperatures in the 60s, many won't even need a light jacket this morning. Most won't need their rain gear this morning or this afternoon either. However, there are a few showers and thundershowers north of I-30 this morning. This is where the best chance of rain will be today. Patchy fog will also be possible this morning.

It's definitely going to feel like spring today. A strong south wind will help temperatures climb into the mid to upper 70s this afternoon. A few places could even hit 80 degrees. The wind will be out of the south at 10-20 mph. Wind gusts could be as high as 30 mph. A few showers or storms will be possible north of I-30 this afternoon/evening.

It's going to be another mild night. Overnight lows will be in the 60s. Most of us will stay dry tonight. A few showers or storms will be possible across parts of E TX and SE OK, though.

Get your rain gear ready! Heavy rain will start to move in Tuesday afternoon and will be possible through Wednesday. The heaviest rain will likely fall across the I-30 corridor. This is where 3"-6"+ of rain will be possible and the highest risk of flash flooding will be. Shreveport-Bossier and points to the southeast probably won't see as much rain. Most places across NW LA will see 1"-3"+. The main concern will be heavy rain falling on top of heavy rain that could lead to flash flooding. Overall, the threat of severe weather looks low.

Despite the increase in rain on Tuesday, temperatures will still climb into the 70s. Wednesday will be cooler. Highs will only be in the 60s. Thursday will likely be the coolest day this week. Most places will struggle to get out of the 50s.

Temperatures will rebound towards the end of the week and into next weekend. Plus, more rain will be possible. Rainfall totals across most of the area will range from 4"-8"+ by the end of next weekend.
