Toms has great week, finishes 2nd at Sony Open

Shreveport-Bossier's David Toms started the 2009 PGA Tour Season with a bang, as he fired three out of four rounds under 70 en route to a tie for 2nd at the Sony Open.  Toms actually had a chance to tie for the lead on the final hole on Sunday, but could not come up with an eagle on the 72nd hole, but he ended up making a par and finishing the tournament at -13 overall.  The good finish was big for Toms because he is coming off a sub-par 2008 season which dropped him outside the Top 100 on the PGA Tour rankings.
