Is there a pool?
Yes. The lap pool is one of the most popular areas. The indoor/outdoor pool has sliding doors and skylights which are open during the Summer. During the Winter, they are closed and the pool is heated to 86 degrees. The pool is of a junior Olympic size and has lanes marked off for lane/lap swimmers.

Are there hot tubs, saunas and steam rooms?
Yes. The mens' and womens' locker rooms are equipped with all of the above.

Is there child care available?
Yes. Childcare is available between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., Monday-Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The area is equipped with a climbing gym, slide, tv/vcr, computer with games, cribs, walkers and a variety of toys. The child care area is designed for children ages 3 months to 11 years.

What kind of equipment does Fitness World have?
You name it! In the weight-training area, there is Nautilus, Hammer Strength, Bodymaster, Cybex, In Shape, Iron Grip, and more. On the aerobics deck, there is a variety of treadmills, cycles, cross trainers, stair climbers by the best-known names in the industry - Precor, LifeCycle, EFX, and others.

What are Fitness World's hours of operation?
Fitness World is open Monday - Thursday from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Friday from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Do we have personal trainers?
Yes. And, all trainers at Fitness World are Certified Personal Trainers or have graduated with degrees in Exercise Science. Any new member will have three free training sessions to help familiarize them with the equipment and the facility. The trainer will set up a program based on the new member's fitness goals and exercise experience. Following the initial training period, personal training packages are available for purchase.

What kinds of classes are offered at Fitness World?

Can someone who has never done an aerobics class take the classes?
Yes. All classes are designed to fit anyone's fitness level. The certified instructors will help any new participant, showing less advanced moves and/or using lower weight.

Does Fitness World have a dietitian?
Yes. Karla McClendon, MS, LDN, RD helps members with food diary analysis and offers personal and packaged consultations which are available by appointment. Karla also offers weight loss and healthy eating seminars.

Does Fitness World offer towel service?
Fitness World requires that all guests and members carry a towel with them during their workouts. We have towels available or you can bring your own.

Does Fitness World have drinks and food items available?
Yes. We have a variety of drinks such as: Gatorade, water, juices, Ripped Force, Speed Stack - plus MetRx and Pure Pro protein drinks. We also have a variety of protein bars and other products available.
