Tony Alamo Pleads Not Guilty

Evangelist Tony Alamo appeared in federal court this morning in Texarkana.  He plead not guilty to charges of "aiding and abetting" and "bringing a juvenile over state lines."  Alamo faces a maximum jail sentence of life and $250,000 in fines for each charge.

A detention hearing has been set for next Wednesday, October 22 in Texarkana at 9:00 a.m.

A judge has also set a trial date for Alamo, that will be November 19 at 9:00 in the morning.
