BOSSIER CITY, LA (KSLA) - Science is coming to life at one Ark-La-Tex elementary school.
Students at Benton Elementary are putting their science textbooks away and learning the subject though experience.
The counters of Benton's brand new science lab are filled with donated items from parents, businesses and area doctors.
All a years worth of learning for third, fourth and fifth graders.
Benton Elementary Principal Norma Anderson says the school has great science teachers, but there was always something missing.
"We remember 10% of what we hear, 30% of what we see and 90% of what we do, we want students to take it with them for lifelong learning," said Anderson.
