Arkansas State Officials Keep Custody of Girls From Tony Alamo Ministries

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - KSLA News 12 has learned that Arkansas State Officials have decided to keep custody of six girls taken from the Tony Alamo Ministries during a raid on Saturday.

A former member who spent only two months in the church says two of the girls could be his daughters.

Anthony Lane says he has not seen his two daughters since 1996, and has never met his son after he was thrown out of the ministry.

Lane says during his time inside Alamo Ministries, he never saw any child pornography, but does say he saw the abuse of the young girls, and the practice of underage marriages to older men.

Tonight we called Tony Alamo for comment regarding the allegations, and the state of Arkansas' decision to keep the six girls, but we were told he was not available.

Lane says he is working to find if any of the six girls in custody may be his daughter.
