SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Some drivers heading from Louisiana toward Texas may have to find a different link to Interstate 20 because of scheduled road repairs.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development is planning to shut down the onramp from Highway 3132 West to Interstate 20 West for most of the day Tuesday.

The closure will be in effect from 8:30 a. m. until 4:30 p. m. This is to allow crews to do joint repairs on the roadway.

As an alternate, the DOTD advises drivers to travel from Highway 3132 West onto Interstate 220 East, exit at Jefferson Paige road and then get back onto I-220 heading west. From there, they can travel to I-20 west.

According to a news release from the DOTD, this is a one-day construction project.
