BARKSDALE AIR FORCE BASE, LA (KSLA) - For the second time in a week, it was a noisy morning down for people who live near Barksdale Air Force Base.
A training exercise involving as many as a dozen B52 bombers that began early Thursday continued Monday morning.
A spokesperson for the 2nd Bomb Wing says the activities Thursday began around 8 a. m. and wrapped up within about 3 hours. She said Monday's exercises would be almost identical.
Monday's exercise consisted of a dozen B-52's flying over the Ark-La-Tex in an operation known as Busy Mudbug.
The exercise focused on having the bombers taking off back-to-back, but because of Monday morning's cloudy skies, the planes only took off three at a time.
