RINGGOLD, LA (KSLA) - "He's doesn't care, he's just a sick minded person." Dozens of Ringgold residents like Herman Leamette, packed into Ringgold Elementary Thursday night to voice their concerns of over Ringgold Police Officer Michael Rimski. "This guy had surrendered to him and he, tased him the guy had already surrendered."

Residents say Rimski who is the only white officer on the Ringgold Police Department, uses excessive force against members of the African American community, and after months of the harassment, they say it's time for Rimski to go. "People are kinda afraid of him, cause they're scared they're gonna get tased." Rimski attended the meeting, but says he didn't know anything about the residents speaking out against his alleged actions.

But according to Ringgold Mayor Stephone Taylor, this isn't the first complaint against him.Taylor says Rimski was reprimanded by Ringgold Police Chief Lawson Bradley for another incident where he used excessive force earlier this year. "He did say that he would do a written reprimand and if this officer's conduct continued in the future he would ask for his resignation. " Bradley says he doesn't remember an incident like that. Residents just hope something is done before in their words, Officer Rimski goes too far.
