CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - Caddo Parish deputies are trying to track down a pair of armed robbers who they say were literally lying in wait for their victims.

The robbers took employees of a Dairy Queen on Highway 1 and Roy Road by surprise late Wednesday night.

The workers told deputies they had just locked up the business for the night when a couple of men-at least one of whom had a gun-jumped up out of a nearby ditch and demanded money.

One employee was carrying a night deposit back from the business and handed it over.

The suspects then ran off into the woods.

Deputies, using a dog, searched the area.  They told KSLA News 12 at the scene that they located a T-shirt which they believe was worn by one of the man.  The deputies hoped to have it tested for DNA evidence.

None of the Dairy Queen employees was hurt during the robbery, but several appeared to be shaken up by the ordeal.
