SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police say a suspected burglar has been caught--and cut--in the act.

The man they arrested just after 1:30 a. m. Wednesday, Kenneth Stephens, 52, reportedly sliced his hand on broken glass from a car window in a parking lot at Lakeshore and Hearne. He was treated at the scene and taken into custody.

Police say a security guard patrolling the area called 911 after he noticed what appeared to be a man breaking into a car.

When police officers arrived, they actually arrested two men--Stephens and Terrell Williams, 49. They say one of them used a rock to break the window. Stephens cut his hand while handling the glass, police said.

Both men face charges related to auto burglary.
