SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - The search is over for a suspect accused of slashing a woman's throat with a knife last night, and leaving her on the side of the road.
The stabbing happened just after 8 Saturday night, at the corner of Hardy and Arkansas in Shreveport. Police received a call about loud screaming coming from a woman nearby, and when police arrived, they found 45 year old Carolyn Taylor with a severe cut to her throat.
Medics rushed Taylor to LSU Medical Center with life threatening injuries. KSLA News 12 has learned the suspect, 53 year old Jesse James Williams, turned himself into Shreveport Police, and now faces a charge of attempted first degree murder... Taylor's condition has been upgraded to serious condition. The case is still under investigation.
