Shreveport police say woman, juvenile attacked workers trying to repossess furniture

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Two people found themselves under arrest after a repossession job turned violent.

Police say Rent-a-Center employees were repossessing the furniture from a home on Carleton Street when people living inside of the house began attacking the workers.

Shreveport City Marshals were helping execute the warrant to get the furniture back, and were able to put one of the residents into custody immediately.

"It's dangerous," said Dennis Buckingham, a deputy with the Shreveport City Marshal's office.  "Somebody may have paid on this one year or two years and all of a sudden they lose their jobs and they can't afford to pay on it and all of a sudden the company comes and takes it."

Two people were taken into custody, including a juvenile and a woman.
