SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Two drivers involved in separate wrecks have left Shreveport police, not only gathering information, but also conducting manhunts for them.

Police say they were each involved in single vehicle crashes and did not stick around to answer any questions.

The first happened around 2 a. m.Thursday on Interstate 20 east near the onramp to Interstate 49 north. Officers spotted a man walking away from the wreckage, carrying two bags. Their attempts to catch up with him and stop him, though, did not succeed.

About an hour later, another car went out of control and rolled over on E. 70th Street near Dixie Gardens. A 17 year old girl was still buckled into the passenger's seat when officers arrived, police said. However, the driver was nowhere to be found.

Officers reportedly found blood on a fence nearby, indicating that the driver had scaled it and gone off into a wooded area. One officer told KSLA News 12 he climbed through tall weeds and poison ivy, trying to track down that person who is apparently injured. He said he wanted to reach the driver before he or she collapsed.

The passenger in the car was taken to a hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries.
