SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport police say an ongoing dispute involving two families led to gunfire in their neighborhood early Wednesday morning.

One man suffered a gunshot wound to the other body.  His cousin was hit in the head with an unknown object, police said. Neither injury was life threatening.

Two members of another family were taken into custody for questioning.

"Evidently, it was an ongoing dispute," said Det. Robert Gordon.  "The parties lived as neighbors and they decided to settle it in the street."

The subject of the dispute is unclear.

Police say the two men who are in custody-- also cousins-- are considered possible suspects.
