SHREVEPORT, LA- (KSLA) - The Shreveport City Council passed several amended versions of security proposals for downtown nightclubs and bars. Security personnel will now have to be trained. And the bars must hire one security person for every 75 patrons. Cameras will be mandatory for any club that can accommodate 200 patrons or more. The amendments are part of a 56 point plan drafted by Police Chief Henry Whitehorn and city council members. Managers and owners of clubs contributed to the process. Phoenix Underground has already installed sixteen cameras, anticipating the amendments passing Tuesday night.
