SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A man wanted by the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office for having a stolen car used in an armed robbery has turned himself in.

Shacorey Remond Bell of Shreveport had a warrant out for his arrest. He was arrested Friday and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of illegal possession of stolen things.

According to investigators, the car Bell is accused of stealing was taken from the Southwood Village Apartments in Shreveport on June 30. That same car was used during the July 1st armed robbery of the Relay Station Casino. Deputies found the car abandoned about a half-mile from the casino.

Investigators say evidence inside the car led them to Bell.

On July 1st, deputies say masked men with assault rifles entered the casino area of the Relay Station Truck Stop, located on Highway 1 South. The robbers tied up two employees and a security guard before taking an unknown amount of cash.

The investigation into the robbery is continuing. Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers at 673-7300.
