Traffic stop leads to foot chase for Shreveport Police

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport Police had to chase down a man who ran from them after he was pulled over on a traffic stop.

Police say 38-year-old Elmer Ford was pulled over for failure to yield. During the stop he gave a false name to the officer, then took off when the officer tried to take him into custody.

Police say Ford led them on a winding chase through the Mooretown neighborhood for more than 20 minutes before he was caught.

He's now facing charges of resisting an officer, having no insurance or license and having a fake ID.
