Two arrested by Shreveport Police on drug, weapons charges

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport Police serving an arrest warrant for one person instead took two people to jail.

Police went to a home in the 300 block of West 74th street looking for 26-year-old Rico Tanner. She and several other people were inside the home.

Police say during the arrest, dispatchers got a phone call saying someone in the house was hiding in the attic. Police detained everyone at the house during the search.

No one was found in the attic, but a some point police say they asked the group if anyone had a gun. One person said yes.

Police ended up arresting Tanner on a warrant for possession with intent to distribute Schedule I narcotics. They also arrested 21-year-old Donovan Resheem Samuel for possession of powdered cocaine, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm while in the possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
