NASHVILLE, AR (KSLA) - There are new developments in the murder of an employee of an Ark-La-Tex Family Dollar retail store. The victim's family and the murder suspect spoke out for the first time on Wednesday.
Robin Camp worked at Family Dollar in Nashville, Arkansas. She opened the store on Memorial Day. Later that morning, a customer came into the store and found her dead. She had been shot to death.
Police say Harry Serber is the one who shot her. He now faces a charge of capital murder. Wednesday he made his first appearance in court for the judge to set a trial date. Serber had little to say to the media outside the courthouse.
However family members of Robin Camp had plenty to say about the murder and the man arrested for the crime.
The family is still reeling over the loss of Robin and want to know why she was killed.
Camp's family hopes to find out why Robin became a crime victim and they want some changes made at Family Dollar. The family is circulating a petition asking for working cameras to be set up in all Family Dollar stores in Arkansas.
