Shreveport man wounded in shooting, suspect arrested

SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - A Shreveport man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his knee which he suffered in a driveby shooting early Monday morning.

Shreveport police say Coholan Winters, 31, arrived at LSU hospital by private vehicle around 12:30 a. m. Monday. 

Winters reportedly told officers he was walking in the 7200 block of West Canal Street when someone drove by and shot him.  He said he was in the area, attempting to check on a female friend who was having trouble with her boyfriend when he was shot.

Police later arrested Dwayne Wade, 23.  They say they also recovered a weapon and a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car.
