KSLA News 12 and the Caddo Council on Aging are once again coming together to help the elderly stay cool this summer.
Every year, we begin collecting fans as the unofficial start of summer kicks off with Memorial Day weekend, and continue collecting through labor day. The fans are distributed by the Caddo Council on Aging as needed throughout the summer.
Monetary donations at the following locations in Shreveport and Texarkana:
KSLA News 12 (1812 Fairfield Avenue - Shreveport, LA 71101)
Caddo Council on Aging office (1700 Buckner St., Suite 240 - Shreveport, LA 71109)
You can drop off a fan weekdays during regular business hours. Plus, monetary donations toward the purchase of fans are also accepted. Please make out checks to the Caddo Council on Aging. No cash will be taken at KSLA News 12.

In the Texarkana area, fans may be dropped off on Texas Boulevard at 3rd, Texarkana, TX and Arkansas City Hall located at 216 Walnut Street. They may also be dropped off at any Texarkana, TX fire station.
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is designed to assist in the recruitment and training of individuals to become volunteers in their area. The program serves Bowie and Cass counties in Texas and Miller, Lafayette, Little River, Hempstead, Sevier, Howard and Nevada Counties in Arkansas.
