SHREVEPORT, LA (KSLA) - Shreveport fire investigators say arson appears to be the cause of a fire that heavily damaged a home in the Queensborough neighborhood early Tuesday morning.
They received the 911 call around 2 a. m. regarding the home at the corner of Elon and San Jacinto Streets. Firefighters say when they arrived, there were flames and smoke coming from a front room. They were able to put out the fire in about 15 minutes.
Investigators later determined it started in a front hallway and spread to two other rooms. The rest of the house sustained smoke damage, firefighters said.
They say it appears the home had been vacated recently because it still had working utilities. There were no reports of any injuries.
