CADDO PARISH, LA (KSLA) - A drowsy driver caused an major accident in Caddo Parish early Friday morning.

It happened just after 5:30 a.m. on Highway 71 north of Louisiana Highway 169.

Deputies say a large delivery truck was headed south and a Ben E. Keith Foods 18-wheeler was headed north. The delivery truck driver fell asleep at the wheel, crossed the center lane and struck the 18-wheeler. The delivery truck ran off the road and the rig flipped and caught fire.
