A Shreveport teenager is facing charges in connection with the shooting of 14 year old boy.
Shreveport police say the 15 year old suspect turned himself in late Tuesday night. He faces a charge of illegal discharge of a firearm.
Detecties working the case told KSLA News 12 although there are charges filed, they believe the shooting may have been an accident.
They found the 14 year old victim around 11:30 p. m. Monday outside a home in the 2500 block of Lindholm Street. Police say he was unresponsive and sitting in a chair on the porch, suffering from at least one gunshot wound from an assault weapon.
Detectives would not comment on how the shooting happened, nor on the relationship between the two teens because the case involves juveniles.
The 14 year old shooting victim is said to be in stable condition at a local hospital.
