KSLA News 12 Viewer Help Lead Police To Alleged Armed Robber

A suspected armed robber is behind bars and Shreveport Police say it's thanks to a KSLA News 12 viewer.

Police say a tipster led them to 25-year-old Lamarcus Allen of Shreveport.

Allen was arrested Thursday and charged with the armed robbery of a Subway restaurant last weekend.

That hold-up happened at 10:30 Saturday morning in the 1400 block of Kings Highway, right across from LSU Hospital.

Police say Allen allegedly jumped over the counter and shoved an employee inside a cooler. They say Allen armed himself with a knife and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
