Red Cross Hands Out Supplies To Flood Victims

Homeowners who've had water inside their homes are getting a hand with the cleanup.

American Red Cross volunteers loaded up and rolled out this morning in Shreveport's Mooretown Neighborhood.

They were passing out everything from cleaning supplies to basic necessities like bottled water to people affected by the flooding.

"But the mood of the people has been really great. So we're happy that this will be a quick easy way for us to help as many people as possible and try to get them headed toward recovery," said Michelle Davison with the Red Cross.

The Red Cross also has teams out assessing the damage and figuring out what other help homeowners need.
