We've got more reports of metal thefts from cars, this time a Shreveport scrapyard takes the hit.
Catalytic converters were hacked off several cars at Bar-N-Towing sometime over the weekend. They discovered the missing parts while they were doing inventory Tuesday morning.
"It does de-value the car an incredible amount and it is a pretty good dent in the business. (We're) not sure what the actual hit's going to be, we're in the process of inventory right now but we're looking at over $1,000 at this point."
Owner John Norris says they've been aware of the trend in scrap metal swiping and tried to step up staffing.
