Multiple Robberies Becoming Habit At Shreveport Subway

An armed robber jumped over a Subway restaurant counter before shoving an employee into a cooler.

That hold-up happened Saturday morning in the 1400 block of Kings Highway in Shreveport, right across from LSU Hospital.

Police say the robber was armed with a knife and ran off with some cash.

Subway workers say this is becoming all too common at the restaurant.

"...three previous days, (there was) another. He was a crackhead, though, and he just snatched the money. He didn't have an weapons or nothing like that, but yeah, we've been having problems." said employee Passion Gladney.

Workers say robbers target their Subway more often because they stay open late, often until 3:00 in the morning.
