An ongoing road construction project could have drivers on Interstate 20 in Shreveport going out of their way.
Crews have been repairing and replacing overhead signs on the east side of the interstate between Highway 3132 and Jewella Avenue since Monday.
On Wednesday, that work zone narrows to the area between Jewella and Hearne Avenue. It will result in the closure of the right lane of traffic in that area between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p. m.
The Jewella, Hearne and Monkhouse entrance and exit ramps on I-20 east will also be closed during that time.
Drivers are urged to use caution around the work zone. The work will be performed, weather-permitting.
