Shreveport Hospital Guard Accused Of Pistol-Whipping Suspect

A Willis Knighton Hospital security guard is in trouble with the law after police say he detained and pistol-wipped a man who was allegedly trying to steal a woman's purse.
Police say Fred McKeever assaulted 36-year-old Anthony Flakes Saturday afternoon. They say McKeever hit flakes with a gun while in the security office.
Flakes, who had injuries to his head and face, was taken to LSU Hospital to be treated.
He was later booked into the city jail and charged with theft and possession of crack cocaine.
