Police Hope Surveillance Video Will Lead to Suspect's Capture

A picture may be worth a thousand words, but Shreveport police say all they need are a few words that will help them find a man who robbed two liquor stores.  And they're hoping to get that information through the release of surveillance video from the businesses.

The tape, released by police early Friday morning, shows the grainy image of a man wearing a dark hoodie-type sweatshirt, dark pants and some sort of elastic strip across his face.  He's pointing a gun at the store clerk, who then hands him a wad of cash.

Police say the video is from a camera inside a Thrifty Liquor store, taken around 11 a. m. on January 27th.  They believe the same man robbed two different Thrifty stores-- the first in the 8600 block of Youree Drive and then, in the 4800 block of Greenwood Road a few minutes later.

Investigators so far have not been able to locate him.  They're hoping anyone with information will call Crimestoppers at (318) 673-7373.
