A man on a quest to locate his stolen car lead Caddo Deputies to what they're calling a working chop shop in the north end of the parish. Deputies spent much of the night investigating the home located on Reno Private Drive off of Albany Road in Shreveport. Six vehicles have been recovered by the Caddo Sheriff's Office, some of the vehicles looked as though they were being stripped for their parts, that's why they're calling it a chop shop. Investigators tell us they found the property through the efforts of a man trying to find his car that had recently been stolen. The man, acting on a tip, reportedly went there, found his car, then went to the Sheriff's Office. It wasn't long after that, sheriff's deputies came knocking on the door. "And with the consent of the homeowner, the land owner we searched the property and found several stolen vehicles out of both the city and the parish," says Detective Charlie Bradford.
Caddo Investigators spent the evening hauling the vehicles off the property and questioning two men. As of 8:00pm Wednesday night no arrests had been made.
