Three passengers on a Sportran bus found themselves traveling an unexpected route following a wreck in downtown Shreveport Friday morning. They were rushed to a hospital by ambulance. However, Shreveport police say all of the injuries were minor.
Police blame the driver of a compact car for causing the crash at the intersection of Travis and Spring streets just before 10:00 a. m. They say witnesses told them the man behind the wheel pulled out into the same lane where the bus was already in the process of making a turn.
The crash left the car with moderate damage on the driver's side. The bus also had a small amount of damage on its right rear.
Police say the three passengers went to a hospital as a precaution.
